A family business, built on experience and people
Dean’s Furnishers is, first and foremost, a family business. We’ve been part of the furniture trade in Ware since 1976, and over the years we’ve had the pleasure of furnishing thousands of homes and getting to know generations of local customers.
For more than 40 years, our home was in Star Street, Ware. It was more than just a furniture shop to us — it was where our family built the business, where friendships were made and where so many customers came through our doors.
Then, in August 2017, everything changed.
A devastating fire completely destroyed the Star Street building, along with decades of memories and history. It was an incredibly difficult time for our family and our business, but we were determined to carry on.
From the ashes, we built again.
Today, Dean’s Furnishers is proudly based at Stonyhills, Ware, in our new purpose-built showroom. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve created. It’s a bright, welcoming and relaxed place where you can take your time, have a look around and enjoy choosing your furniture without feeling pressured.
Over 50 years of experience
Although a lot has changed since 1976, one thing certainly hasn't — our commitment to our customers.
Our team has more than 150 years of combined experience across the furniture industry, as well as marketing, IT, finance and logistics. Many of us have spent a large part of our working lives in the furniture business, so we know our products and, importantly, we understand that buying furniture is a personal decision.

We’ve always believed that good furniture should be well made, look great and represent good value for money.
We carefully choose the manufacturers and ranges we work with and only sell products that we are confident putting into our customers' homes.
We know that nobody wants the hassle of receiving furniture that isn't right, which is why we've spent decades building relationships with suppliers we trust.
Our aim is simple: make buying furniture enjoyable, straightforward and as worry-free as possible.
From our showroom to your home
Our website has been online since 1999, which means we've been helping customers shop for furniture online for longer than many of today's internet retailers have been in business.
We've invested heavily in our website so that you can browse thousands of products from the comfort of your own home. Whether you're looking for a new bed, sofa, dining table or something for that awkward space you've been trying to fill, you'll find plenty to choose from.
But we're still very much a furniture shop first and an internet business second.
Many of our most popular products are available to see in our Stonyhills showroom, so you can sit on that sofa, try out that chair or see the quality of a piece of furniture for yourself before making a decision.
And if you can't find exactly what you're looking for online, just ask. We have access to many more ranges and suppliers and will always do our best to help.
Local roots, serving customers everywhere
Although our roots are firmly in Ware, our customers now come from across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex and London, as well as from all over the UK and beyond.
That's something we're particularly proud of.
After everything we've been through — from our beginnings in Star Street, through the devastating fire in 2017, to building our new home at Stonyhills — we're still here, still family-run and still doing what we've always loved: helping people find furniture they'll be happy to live with.

Many of you have been shopping with us for decades, and some customers who first came into Star Street now bring their children and grandchildren to our Stonyhills showroom.
That means an enormous amount to us.
